Position Overview:

This expression of interest is open to Blender generalists at any level: junior, mid, or senior. If you are passionate about integrating CG elements with live-action footage and have a strong foundation in Blender, we’d love to hear from you. This is an opportunity to work and learn with a highly experienced team that values growth, creativity, and collaboration. Remote work is acceptable, but the role is primarily located in Singapore.

What you'll be doing:

  • Photo-Realistic Modeling, Texturing, Lighting, and Rendering: Create high-quality, realistic assets in Blender, including shading and scene lighting for optimal rendering results.

  • Scene Layout, Set Dressing, and Integration: Assemble and enhance scenes in Blender, integrating 2D painted elements and photo bashing where needed, to add depth and parallax for dynamic camera movements.

  • Render Pass Setup and Quality Checks: Prepare and verify render passes to ensure compatibility with compositing needs, collaborating closely with compositors to deliver assets that meet project standards.

  • Active Collaboration and Problem Solving: Engage in rounds and dailies, offering creative solutions to overcome shot challenges and proactively exploring new approaches. We value thinkers and problem-solvers, not just button-pushers.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Portfolio of Photo-Realistic CGI Work: A strong showcase of your skills in creating realistic 3D renders that integrate seamlessly with live-action plates.

  • Understanding of VFX Workflow: Knowledge of the VFX pipeline, with an understanding of how 3D elements are integrated into live-action and how cameras and lenses function.

  • Basic Nuke Skills: Familiarity with Nuke to perform minor compositing tasks on your shots.

  • Attention to Detail and Quality: An eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality results, even under tight deadlines.

  • Team Player: Ability to take direction well, collaborate effectively, and contribute positively in a team environment.
